As a painter I have been interested in different artists' approaches to the daily studio practice. For Francis Bacon and for Philip Guston the studio was a place for experiment and visual processing of images where one image led to another. When working in the studio I have been concerned with making works in series, often changing and developing similar motifs through experiments in scale, materials and composition.
